Principal Investigators who wish to purchase prescription-only products for use in their animal research have three options:

1. Researchers with an M.D. can purchase directly from a wholesaler by using their personal license to set up an account with AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health, or McKesson. All three vendors are in BearBuy.
    
2. Researchers who do not have an M.D. can make their purchases from Medline using the Teaching Facility Authorization Form (TFAF).
    
3. Researchers who do not have an M.D. license can contact the manufacturer directly and request to purchase using the vendor’s “Research Use Only” form.
