Overview
Within the UCSF community, there are multiple ergonomics programs that support different people. This resource will
help you determine which program to contact.
Your employment status determines which program you are eligible for.
UCSF employees need to confirm whether they are on the Campus or Health side. Your paycheck, available in UC
Path, lists your Business Unit in the upper-right corner. Contact your supervisor, division head, or human resources
representative with questions.
UCSF Campus Employees
Your Business Unit will be listed as “UCSF Campus” in the upper-right corner of your paycheck. The UCSF
Ergonomics & Human Factors Program assists people employed by UCSF Campus who have an active staff or
academic title. This includes:
• Campus staff
• Faculty (including physicians who work within UCSF Health facilities)
• Employed students (must receive a UCSF paycheck)
UCSF Health Employees—West and East Bay
Your Business Unit will be listed as "UCSF Medical Ctr” in the upper-right corner of your paycheck. The UCSF Health
Ergonomics Program assists staff employed by UCSF Health in the West Bay and East Bay.
UCSF Students
UCSF Student Disability Services (SDS) assists UCSF students who are studying and are not employed by UCSF.
ZSFGH Clinic Staff
The ZSFGH Ergonomics Program is available for hospital staff who work in clinical areas.
