THE OFFICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

OEH&S Cal OSHA

UCSF is committed to protecting employee health and safety and endeavors to comply with all applicable standards. California is one of several states that administers it’s own occupational safety and health program called Cal-OSHA in accordance provisions of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.

Additional safety and health information can be obtained at Cal-OSHA’s website www.dir.ca.gov/DIR/OS&H/DOSH/dosh1.htm.

OEH&S is uniquely qualified to address safety and health concerns of all UCSF employees for both campus and clinics. Some of our Certified Industrial Hygienists (C.I.H.) have prior work experience as OSHA Safety and Health Inspectors. Additionally, our staff credentials include Certified Safety Professional (C.S.P.) and Certified Hazardous Material Manager (C.H.M.M.).
